Purgatory Chasm

According to Harvard Forest, leaves change color during autumn because the amounts of pigments change as the leaves prepare to fall from the trees. To say that I find this process fascinating would be an understatement. The process of letting go, and holding on -that is.

Letting go seems so easy, all it takes is determination, the simple act of making a decision to move on, to let nature take it's course. But holding on requires patience, and it is in patience that we truly realize how strong we can be.

The Bible teaches us to let go of everything, and to hold on to Christ because it is in letting go that we die to ourselves as we learn to live a life guided by Him.

For I, the LORD your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.” -Isaiah 41:13.

There is so much beauty in letting go, but so much strength in holding on. In holding on to Christ, we truly learn to let go.
